The Figueira never had a charter, but had Pelourinho - which is classified and protected as a "National Monument" - rather late in the year that the village was elevated -1771 (time D. I-Joseph Marquis de Pombal).
Buarcos of relevance oldest, had a first charter in 1342 (D. Afonso IV), and a second, D. Manuel, in 1516.

Tavarede and Quiaios also had their letter of charter: Tavarede in 1516, by D. Manuel; Quiaios in 1514, by the same monarch. None have pillory.

On the south side of the County Highlights has to go to the old Couto Lavos: had a first charter in 1217 (D. Afonso II) and a "new" (from the reign of King Manuel) in 1519. Lavos has pillory.
